First I was in school and performing in small plays, and later I joined a performing club and practiced performing Cats. After that, I kept performing in school.
Later, I came to the Base and we did some performing games and improv things. At that time, I was just practicing and doing games that included improv and performing.
Later, Brendan and I did some improv practice for a few months – every week I practiced 2 times. Brendan and I would do some improv games and exercises, focused on creating characters and being creative, and using my first idea.
Then we started the Stage program, which is about performing and improv. At Stage, we did some more practices about creating characters, saying Yes And, giving gifts to your improv partner, status and things like that.
When Brendan and I went to the USA, we watched an improv show in New York and that was pretty cool. It was the first professional improv I had ever seen. Then, in New Haven, we performed really fun improv with Brendan and two of his friends from his college improv group. We were just going to practice, but we actually had an audience of two people who were doing their homework in that room!
